The Chill 'N' Chat started as parents and carers told us they wanted more time to chat and look at resources. At our sessions, you can share your experiences with other people in similar situations, ask for information and advice from Northorpe Hall staff and spend time looking at resources and websites.
Chill 'N' Chat sessions are designed to promote self care. The environment is relaxed, refreshments are provided as well as some optional pamper activities to promote not only self care but personal emotional wellbeing.
From April, we will be having weekly Chill N Chat parent/carer drop-ins, which will alternate between the Pack Horse Centre and Northorpe Hall.
The times will be 10-12 at the Pack Horse on alternate Tuesdays and 10-12 at Northorpe Hall on alternate Thursdays.
To book a place on one of these sessions, please complete the booking form.
What an event! Thank you to everyone who came to our chill N Chat Extra event- all 60 of you! We had some great feedback:
"I just wanted to get in touch after today's chill and chat event and say thank you. I have a teen who is struggling with depression and anxiety and is self harming. I haven't spoken to family or friends about this as I don't even know how I would start that conversation. Today, I sat with people living the same experiences and it was the first time where I felt I could talk about what it's like and how I feel - because they understood.
I was fortunate enough to sit next to a wonderful lady and we ended the day exchanging not only contact details, but also a hug. Thank you for the event. It felt like a safe space. Your whole team is wonderful and I thank you for all the work that you do."
