You are awesome!

You could help us to raise much needed funds to provide essential services supporting the health and wellbeing of Kirklees children, young people and families.

It's our vision that all young people have good mental health most of the time and have the support and relationships that help them recover quickly when they experience mental health challenges.

How you can help

How others have helped

During lockdown Florence, eight, raised £100 by making and selling care packages to her classmates.  The packs included chocolate, sweets, a coloured pencil, a notebook and a small wooden hanging decoration.

Florence’s donation makes her an official member of our 100 Club and ensuring we could continue our work supporting young people's mental health. Thank you Florence!

Our Create group have conquered a number of challenges this term to raise a total of £1207.60!

The group took part in the T3 Farm Challenge- a 5K obstacle course which saw young people, staff, and volunteers tackle haybales, wade through swamps and slide down mud slides. They also then pitched at Dewsbury Soup, a micro grant programme which saw them pitch for donations.

“These fund raising activities have been a real challenge, and the young people have met the challenges head on !’ says Erika Farey, Project Leader- Create. “We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and challenged themselves in new ways to raise money. The Create group is really important to our young people, all of whom have additional needs. For some it’s the only club they attend, it’s a creative, safe and nurturing environment. We support the young people to develop confidence, form positive relationships, a sense of group identity, and above all to have fun!”

The young people identified earlier on this year that they would like to do more outdoor activities at Create, and set about raising funds to go towards developing our outdoor provision further, including a sensory garden, a Create tree, a bench and most importantly hammocks!

Whilst the group is funded by Children In Need, this only covers the cost of the staff, we fund raise throughout the year to pay for resources and any extra’s.

Well done to everyone involved! Find out more about Create here

Beerhouses Pubs recently donated £258. The pub chain, working together with Rat Brewery and Ossett Brewery created a pale ale and donated 10p to us for each pint sold. ChaRaty New World Pale was sold in all Beerhouses pubs, with Ossett Brewery matching their donation of 10p per pint. Rat Brewery also helped create the recipe and brew.

This is a fantastic and engaging idea and we love it! Thank you to everyone involved.
