Jay is a committed and conscientious counsellor with experience of offering mentoring, coaching and counselling. He has experience of working with different communities and backgrounds. He can adapt to different environments fostering collaborative therapeutic relationships and has experience of working around trauma, abuse, attachment and anxiety.
Step 2, Bradford Counsellor
Offering counselling to clients around issues relating to anxiety disorders, low-mood, trauma, self-injury and family problems. He conducts initial client assessments to implement appropriate therapeutic and safeguarding interventions working across schools.
Northorpe Hall, Mirfield
Counsellor Responsible for providing short-term counselling to young people around issues encompassing: anxiety, low mood, body dysmorphia, behavioural difficulties and self-injury.
An important aspect of this role is managing different client caseloads, conducting progress reviews and working flexibly to meet the contrasting needs of clients. This role also requires working in a creative and integrative manner further informing the therapeutic relationship.
