Fundraising Events

Here at Northorpe Hall, we organise a wide range of events to raise funds to continue our work. Our events range from craft fairs with local businesses to large corporate style conferences. All proceeds go towards supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people.

Challenge 2012 - Saturday 30th June 2012 at Thornbridge Hall, Derbyshire

Could you go the extra mile for Northorpe Hall?

The Challenge is a fun run/walk along 4km or 10km courses that are suitable to all ages with a reasonable level of fitness.  The route takes you through some of the most scenic parts of the Peak District.  You can do it in fancy dress, or in your sporty gear, and do it at your own pace.

We want ten people to take up Challenge 2012, each with a fundraising target of £200.   We need this money to reach more distressed, traumatised and isolated children and families, providing them with effective therapeutic support and counselling to help them back to health.  Though we support hundreds of children every year, there are many we have to turn away due to lack of funds.

Challenge 2012 is part of a whole weekend of activities and entertainment organised by the Foundation for Social Improvement – a national organisation supporting charities.  It takes place in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall, the country home of Emma Harrison (Chair of the Foundation for Social Improvement).  You can bring a picnic and drinks for relaxing after the race on Saturday the 30th June and you can camp overnight Fri & Sat. On Sunday 1st of July there is the Thornbridge Hall Garden Party – a day of fun filled activities for the whole family to enjoy.
